Growing a stable Startup - Extrapolation

The idea that startup are prone to failure is common place. There are signs that can indicate the likelyhood of a startup graduating. These signs refer to startup behaviour and traits that predisposes to growth.

The initial spurt of growth for any startup is validation that the driving value proposition has been market accepted. In this phase, the startup can consciously become ‘amphidextrous’, meaning focus on multiple areas and strategies. This phase was termed Extrapolation - where the firm exploits success, but also searches for other areas of growth.
